My spec is not Ah Pek's spec!!

Today is certainly not a good day... Back to work, seems like so many outstanding issues to be settled. Contractor sent in nasty email says that we are not responding to their queries.. Sigh..

I've got to choice but to get the "short cut" way.. hehe.. discussion with boss to get solution.. My eyes are so tire, hence i took away my specs and leave it on his table. Suddenly he took my specs away.........

I was like.. keep saying "that's mine, that's mine... er... that's mine" until he finally realized that i was talking about that specs. Well... I know my specs are gorgeous, but he don have to take it away ma..

He thought that the specs are his (liar!! his on just right on the table!!!)... hm.. and asking me why do i wear "ah pek" spec. hm.... My spec is Seiko de le... I like my spec de le.. i think my spec are gorgeous de le... Why say my spec like that le...

Earth Hour Day

Today is the Earth Hour Day.. I am surprise that mum is aware of this day. She has been reminding us to switch off the electricity at 8.30pm. for one hour..

Is a tire day.. and i have totally about this.. mum came back from dinner just on time to switch off the electricity.. We have got nothing to do, hence we walk out from the house, to neighbor house for chit chat..

Daddy has been not feeling well since came back from China, relatives suspect that he is suffering from depression. He gets nervous very easily, and feel insecure most of the time.. sigh.. why now my dad pulak suffer from depression?? Very worry about my dearest daddy.. However, i believe he is strong in mentality to overcome this transition period..

Daddy, be strong ya.. i will be there for you anytime..

After visited grandfather's grave, my brother took me and my little cousin back home.. 3 of us in the car, here start the conversation...

Bob : Theng, what r u going to do later?
Theng : Oh.. I am going to watch TV, then i am going to do up my project..
Bob : What project?
Theng : Science project, about micro-organism.
Bob : What is micro-organism?
Theng : Micro-organism is... bacteria, virus la...
Bob : So, how do we clear the bacteria?
Theng : Er.. i don know... i think should be like what shown in the TV, use dettol lo..



Bob and I are laughing for that statement.. Then... out of sudden, we heard ah theng continue his project conclusion.... "If the virus is in our body, then drink yakult lo..."

Singapore Flag Post

After site meeting at Tampines, my boss bring me to a HDB flat nearby my site. Hm... That's what i see.. the Singapore Flag Post.. haha.. (that's what he told me)

I seriously don understand.. Singaporeans are so demanding that they wanted everything to be perfect (almost perfect), beautiful, clean, etc... But how can they accept this ____ scene?? hahahhaha.. unique, unique...

Lost Phone!!

No doubt, today is a lucky day for me.. I do believe that there are good people around me..

As usual, AL is late again today. Unfortunately, DL is not working today, and i got to walk to the railway station by myself. On the way there, i have decided to go to NTUC for some fruits & snacks.

Too many bags (heavy bags) to carry till i have not notice that i have dropped my handphone pouch. I seriously did not notice it, not even after i arrived at the railway station. I have been waiting until i get frustrated, and thinking to make nasty call.. Then, i "finally" realized that i have lost my handphone (Punishment for being "nasty"?). I was so nervous, and been searching for my little pouch nearby.. Dare not to walk far because i was afraid that AL might arrive anytime (Time past by and i knew i was over worry, coz he actually came after... 15 mins?)

Finally he arrived. I cant help myself but keep shouting at him.. hehe.. feel so sorry for him now.. and i ask him to call to my number and try my luck if someone answer the call. Thank God !! Somebody has actually answered the call. and the lady named Carole, direct me to her office to collect my hp pouch..

Really blessed that she has been so honest to return the phones to me (i have 2 handphones in that pouch).. really greatful.. Next time muts really be very careful... ;)

Argh.. Hit by thunder...

Me had a great day. Went facial, went tea with alvin, and updated blog & handphone application.. I really thinks that my day is fully occupied.. hehe..

Unfortunately, the thunder always come unexpectedly.. The weather has changed so quick and sudden and sunny day ==> rainy day with storm!!! (This is no joke!!)

Thought keeping silence = keeping away from the storm... Unfortunately, lack of intelligent has somehow cause me pulled into the storm and hit by the thunder.. Sob sob..

Next time must no matter how be smarter..

IT Fair @ Suntec City

Been a week since came back from China.. Last Saturday I went to IT fair in Suntec City with my colleague.. Intend to see what's the good deal for camera, and mum's hand phone.

We experienced the worst "human traffic jam'' from Cityhall MRT station to Suntec Conventional Center. I took pic of the crowd from the escalator.

As usual, i end up not buying the camera.. haha. Bought a lapdesk.. It attracts me as its ability to be deformed to any angle & any height (max height 50cm), its light weight, but able to support up to 12kg items.. hehe.. and also it comes with 6 month warranty ma.. hahha.. ok la ok la.. i am finding excuse to make myself better after buying the lapdesk la.. hahha.. but i still think is unique ma..

And a laptop bacpack la.. been always wanted to buy one, but was stopped by the price (samsonite one cost S$80). But this one is really a good deal, i bought it for S$40, and it is entitled for life warranty.. muhahaha..

Well, I think i have shopped wisely.. ;) This week expo has Robinson and Adidas sales.. Don think is going la.. I shall wait for the Jusco day and my salary day.. ;)

China Trip - Part 6

12th March 2009, Thursday

This day has come.. Argh.. My holiday is finishing.. So unwillingly.. :( but what to do.. After having our breakfast, we grabbed the last chance to shop. Still manage to buy Alvin's dad medicine, and also belts for myself. hehe..

Rushed to airport, check-in.. Well, dad's luggage was stopped, because of his newly bought lighter & matches. No lighter & matches are allowed to bring out, neither luggage or hand carry. He still wanna try by putting the lighter in my cousin's hand luggage. Too bad. Still fail.. poor daddy.

Flight arrived at KLIA later than schedule time - 8p.m. But luckily we still managed to get out boarding pass at the transfer counter. So still got plenty of time to shop in the airport. haha.. Finally we reached Alvin's home at 10.30p.m. Earlier than expected & still manage to unpack my lugagge before we go to bed. hehe

Happy holiday... Sweet memory.. :)

China Trip - Part 5

11th March 2009, Wednesday

Last night we went to Gulangyu Scenic Spot "鼓浪屿" to visit one of our relative. Suppose to visit to his house but could not make it coz got to rush back to Xiamen, because 6th aunt and last aunt going to prepare to go back Singapore today.

So, today after our lunch (小笼包) at a stall near to the hotel, we decided to visit the uncle again. Basically most of us like that uncle very much because he look exactly alike my great grand father.. He was so kind, spent almost half a day with us..

The island is just 15 minutes ferry (cruise) ride from Xiamen harbour. But is totally different scenery / environment compare to the busy city. Motorized vehicle is strictly prohibited in the island. So the air is fresh and the environmet is realxing.

It is a touirsm spot and so we can have lots of places for visiting. But because we have to walk to each destination, which is quite tiring.. we only visited 2 spots.

China Trip - Part 4

10th March 2009, Tuesday

We shall move back to Xiamen today. Slept well last night? Better than the first night. Oh, if i have not mentioned, the weather is cold in Quan Zhou, and there is no heater in the house.. My dad was not feeling well and gave up, he check-in to the hotel last night. thank God last night was warmer. But i think still there are people that did not sleep well.. hehe.. look at pic below.. hehe..

We went to the temple near to our house. It is a very old and famous temple - 开元寺. There are 2 towers, built by the master & the disciple respectively.

Then we depart to Xiamen.. Went to Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden. Expensive Entrance ticket, RMB80 per head. Nothing special inside there.. Very little visitors. I think only tourist like us will go for it. Alvin become the camera man in the garden..

China Trip - Part 3

9th March 2009, Monday

Time flies, it is the 3rd day of the holiday already.. Today's plan is to go to another town called Tek Huey "德化" to visit my grand 5th aunt. From my memories, it was a small town, far behind developed compare to Xiamen and Quan Zhou.

We are supposed to leave after the breakfast. Everyone got ready in the bus, and the driver said he couldn't start the engine.. Got everyone down from the bus and waited at the road side for repairs.. The driver even tried to get those men to help by pushing the bus from behind, but it doesn't work.

Waited for approx. one hour, we have decided to rent a new bus instead of keep waiting. Oh, within he one hour, some have grabbed the time for shopping.. Just walked in to the shop behind where we stand, my sister and my 3rd aunt have grabbed a thicker coat for themselves. :) I think they must be suffered from the cold for the past 2 days. haha.

In the journey to Tek Huey, I have snapped some pictures, basically lots of new highways built up, shows great improvement in infrastructure development.. But also see lots of poor village with old house, poor facilities.

Finally we arrived 德化 after 2 hours bus drive. The bus driver drove like a mad person, fast and furious is what i can describe. Break "hard and sudden" until my cousin, Kar teng & my last uncle fell down from their seat. Luckily we still managed to reached safely after all..

The town has great improvement.. Seems like more developed compared to Quan Zhou now.. The relatives told us that it was due to the high demand on the manufacture of low medium range product.

First thing to do is to take our lunch. Everyone is hungry after the shock and furios bus experience. Some uncles & aunties whom have been here before, warned us about the variety of dishes that might be served on the table. Apparently we were so hungry and forgotten about it.. and that's how we fell into the trap and "enjoy" the first dishes - the crocodile tummy, yet most of us think that is squid. haha. after knowing that, we became very carefully in every dishes served. haha..

Then we went to grand 5th aunt' house.. not very good condition, but it was much better compared to my last visit. We were offered strawberry, loquat (枇杷), apple and red bean drink. I have never drink the red bean drink before, good. i like it. :) Then we also visited her son's house at nearby. Seems like he is doing very well in career, living in a 3 rooms condo, very presentable & classy. ;) Feel happy and glad for grand 5th aunt..

Ok ok. The most important thing to do in 德化 is to shop for the clay product. (I bought a decorative lamp during my last visit). Mum wanted to buy the full set of dining plates, rice bowl + etc etc. So we went to the shop and grab without further delay. Alvin seems to be very interested in the dining plates as well. He chosen few (few = 26 pieces including source plate).

Well, no one is regret -- mum bought 2 boxes, alvin bought 1 box of dining plates + others, 2nd sis bought tea + decorative items + tea cups.. me also get tea cups.. Only 50RMB!! hehe... oh ya!! i missed out one person --- my poor daddy.. he felt sick and did nothing but rested in the bus while we shopped.. poor daddy...

China Trip - Part 2

8th March 2009, Sunday

Second day of the trip. After having the breakfast in the hotel, we depart to Quan Zhou "泉州".. Our old kampong, the place that my grandfather build a house for relatives there and ourselves.

As usual, we stopped by few tourism spots for sight-seeing. The first spot, the Hulishan Fortress "胡里山炮台". It was my first time there too.. It was built at the year of 1894, still holds an >100 years German-made Krupp cannon, making it the oldest cannon kept in its original site. From the top of the hill, we can actually see edge of Taiwan. To be honest, I wasn't so sure of what i seen is the edge of Taiwan... Just believe what they tell us la.. hehe...

Then we came to the West Lake "西湖". Still the beautiful scenery, just that the water seems more polluted compared to 2 years ago..

The next spot that we went before we reached the kampong was the "清源山老君岩" to see the "太上老君" (a Buddha/god in the story "Journey to West") spot. My last uncle was so excited when we reach there as he thought that this 太上老君 will bring him lottery luck. then we corrected him, says that this god is the one whom made the "long life medicine - 长生不老药", not the wealthy god - 财神爷. Aiks.. until myself also confuse d....

After all these spots, we were hungry and cold again.. then i have been too focus in eating and keeping myself warm till forgotten to snap more pictures... hehe..

China Trip - Part 1

13th March 2009, Friday

Finally, I am back, from the China Trip.. Fully recharged & refresh.. haha.. Well, would like to summarize the trip highlight before i forget. Actually din take lots of pics.. i think the weather to be blamed.. haha.. slightly cold there.. temperature was approx. 10-13 Degree Celsius when we first day arrived at Xiamen.

1st day of the trip, 7th March 2009, Saturday.

Alvin and myself have to fly from JB to KLIA to meet up with my family.. We took the first flight from JB to KLIA, at 7.00am. We reached airport at 5.40am.. After checked in procedure, we went for the breakfast at the malay restaurant in airport.. Both of us still sleepy, unconscious, and hungry... haha.. But the milo is so sweet.. i really cannot take it.. aiks.. But Alvin seems enjoying it so much??

Finally we gathered with my dearest family members in KLIA.. and took the 4 hours flight to Xiamen.. We reached Xiamen at noon time.. hungry and cold... Lots of things to be settled:- baggage collection, gather all the "tour members" (there are 16 of us in the group), meet up with our relative in Xiamen airport and move up the baggage to the bus.. Argh.. hungry ==> frustration..

After check-in at the Hotel (Plaza Xiamen), we paid a visit to my grand 1st aunt (my grandfather's 1st sister) who is staying in Xiamen.. We were offered duck herbal soup (hot soup!!) and poh piah... Yummy.. At least keep our tummy sustain for awhile.. haha.. Lots of chit chat among the "elder adult" (or should I say, "mature" folks?? haha) after 2 years not meeting.. We the young adults patiently waiting there for them to settle with the discussion, before we go shopping at the nearby shopping mall..

Dad promised to treat the relatives a dinner, as replacement of bob's wedding dinner. Extremely poor restaurant management has pissed me off.. The "car parking" lady knows nothing but to arrange for car park only. Argh.... So "smart" of them... Make big group of us, standing at the entrance, do nothing but keep asking us what is the phone number of the personm who has made the reservation... Crazy.. The food... Hm... not my preference.. Strange seafood dishes been served.. Super big portion, and 12 (or more? don know.. too many) dishes served.. Sorry to say, but i personally think that the dinner is really so so nia.... But it was really expensive.. Hm.. No like, no like...

1st day in Xiamen

7th March 2009, Saturday

Now, here i am, in Xiamen, South East Asia Hotel (Xiamen Plaza).. My brilliant bf able to get the cable from the hotel management and hence i manage to update my blog.. hehe.. ya, i got to admit that sometimes he is very intelligent and helpful.. haha.. Oh by the way, he bring his lap top.. that's another reason that i am manage to get online now.. haha..

Today's itinerary is tedious.. we depart from his house so early, 5am (that's they time i wake up during working day).. fly to KL then meet my parents and fly to Xiamen.. Basically we both sleep in the plane nia.. haha...

Today main itinerary is to visit my 1st grand auntie living in Xiamen, and treat them a dinner as replacement of my brother wedding dinner.. The food served in the dinner is so much until there are so many left over.. i heard there are 12 dishes served.. and basically most of us stopped eating at the 6th dish. There are few "strange" food served too.. Like goose feet, sea worms (uncle says that is worms.. not sure), superly extremely big "scallop", etc etc.. haha..

ok. enough for now, i will upload the photo when i am back.

p/s: extremely expensive dinner. approx. RMB 6700.

Xiamen, here I come!!

Yeah!! after waiting so long, finally we are going to Xiamen, tomorrow!! hurray!! It has been planned for so long..

Actually is not the trip that i am excited about, is more to the gathering moment.. Ever since I start working in Singapore, I really precious the time that I spend with my family.. Hm.. and I have not meet my parents since CNY holiday d le... more than 1 month liao..

All my friends... wish me safe trip.. I will definitely have fun.. miss ya..

p/s: Not only my family, my best best friend, Lee lop lop has waited for me to go back until she describe herself as giraffe d... haha..

Babe sick..

3rd February 2009, Tuesday

Alvin has been sick since Sunday. Refuse to see doctor thou.. However, yesterday he was really not well until he agreed to seek for doctor's help.

When we reached JB, it was about 815pm. I suggested him to go to the clinic to get the queue number first, said from experience. WIth doubt, he agree to do so.. So he was told that there are 7 people in front of him in the queue. Then we went back for dinner.

We went back to the clinic at 9pm.. well, still 4 people in front. Finally his turn.. The doctor.. Hm.. acting a bit wierd.. For what i see.. Hm.. standing too near to my babe when he is checking his heart beat, using the stethoscope.. I mean, the equipment is so long, but he is standing just as close as possible.. like body touching to my dear bf.. hm.. wierd... then he annouced bad news -- alvin has bad sore infection. that he has to have injection for 3 continuous days.

The first injection.. Hm... IT TOOK SO LONG!!! until i was wondering what is the doctor doing and i turn over to take a look. My goodness!!! the doctor is looking at my poor bf's backside (short form - ass) fo so long!! keep looking.. keep looking.. his face is just like touching his ass!!! huh!! what is this hack? is just an injection!!! wierd doctor...

After the "consulation", i cant control myself but keep asking alvin, whther the doctor is norm or he has special preference. haha..

p/s: when i share the story with my friend today, my friend actually ask me a question which makes me more curious... "what does it to do with chest when alvin has sore throat??".. so... darling, re you sure u wanna go back to that clinic today??
